Karan Johar, of Dharma Productions, has given directorial duties for Shanaya Kapoor’s debut film to his trusted filmmaker Shashank Khaitan. And within this film, Johar will also launch the careers of Gurfateh Singh Pirzada and Lakshya.
Johar announced the ambitious project back in March with the plan to take it into production in July. However, the film was delayed after the second wave of the pandemic swept the country and closed everything again, reports Peeping Moon.
Khaitan had also directed Kapoor’s cousin Janhvi Kapoor’s debut film, ‘Dhadak’ (2018), also with Dharma Productions.
The three stars for this new movie are said to have attended several acting workshops over the last seven months, and will kick off the shooting in December in Mumbai.
