Navratri 2021, which is one of the popular festivals in India, is being celebrated with great zeal even though it’s at a small level due to pandemic. For the unversed, during this festival devotees pray to Goddess Durga and her nine manifestations of feminine power, perform puja, observe fast and most importantly enjoy Garba and dandiya raas.
Interestingly, one of the aspects of the festival is that every day is marked by a colour. All nine days, people dress as per the colour that is designated for each day to make the most of Navratri festivities. The day 3 colour is grey. This year Tritiya and Chaturthi fell on the same day this day. On the third day (Tritiya), Maa Chandraghanta is worshipped and on the fourth day (Chaturthi), the Kushmanda form of Maa Durga is worshipped. Grey refers to the quality of the destruction of evil.
