Anurag Basu On Kishore Kumar’s Biopic: ‘I Haven’t Yet Spoken To Amit Da, If They Want To Make It, It’s Their Right; I Just Want This Film To Be Made Now’-EXCLUSIVE

It was for the 2012 film Barfi, that filmmaker Anurag Basu collaborated with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. The film featured Ranbir as a deaf and mute guy who is full of life, along with Priyanka Chopra Jonas who played an autistic girl and Ileana D’Cruz. The film proved to be a gamechanger for all the three actors, with Ranbir receiving a Filmfare trophy for Best Actor while Ileana took home the black lady for Best Debut Female. Even Priyanka became a favourite that award season.
